Station 11 - Agent proof. Time: 20-30 min. You make Hermes act, not only reply. Pass when you can explain what happened.

What this is

This is the proof step. You ask Hermes to create, inspect, or organize something in a way that feels more agent-like than a normal chat answer.

Why it matters

The workshop promise is not "talk to AI." It is "own an AI operator." This station helps you feel the difference.

What to do

Choose one proof task. The file task is the official default because it is easy to verify.

Pass when you can show the file exists or explain the system information Hermes checked.

Create a file:

Create a simple markdown file in my home folder called my-first-hermes-plan.md. Put my 7-day action plan inside it. Then read it back to verify it was saved.

Explain your VPS:

Check basic system information for this VPS: OS version, disk space, memory, and current user. Explain the result in beginner language.

Turn one task into a repeatable workflow:

Take the useful task we just did and turn it into a reusable checklist I can use again next week.

Common mistakes

• Choosing a risky command when a simple proof is enough.
• Forgetting to verify that the file or result exists.
• Calling it done when Hermes only replied with advice.
• Sharing terminal output that contains secrets.
